Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar takes oath as judge of Jammu & Kashmir High Court

Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, justice N Paul Vasanthakumar today administered oath to justice Ramalingam Sudhakar as a judge of the high court.

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Minister for Law and Justice Abdul Haq Khan, current and former judges of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, judges of the Madras High Court and chairman of the Central Administrative Tribunal.

Sudhakar was born on February 14, 1959 and hails from Panapakkam Village in Vellore District of Tamil Nadu.

He did his early schooling from Don Bosco Matriculation School, Egmore in Chennai and completed his schooling from St Mary's Higher Secondary School, Madurai.

A graduated of Loyola College, Chennai, Sudhakar was conferred a degree in Law from Madras Law College.

He enrolled as an advocate and started practice as an associate of the legal luminary and senior advocate Habibullah Badsha, former Advocate General of Tamil Nadu and Public Prosecutor of Madras High Court.

Besides, Madras High Court, he also practiced and appeared in cases before the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka High Court and Kerala High Court.

Sudhakar was elevated to the Bench as an additional judge of the High Court of Madras on December 10, 2005 and as a permanent judge on April 20, 2007.
